QINGYUE Global Purchasing Division, Material Processing Team Joined in 2015
Born in Guizhou, China. I came to Japan when I was in junior high school, and then went on to high school and university in Japan. While living in Japan, I became interested in the "craftsmanship culture" unique to Japan, which is persistent in manufacturing, and one day I wanted to support that activity. When I was conducting corporate research while cherishing this thought in my job hunting, I happened to meet TBK, which is an automotive parts manufacturer. I was attracted to seeing various nationalities cooperated with each other to create a one-of-a-kind product. The main motivation for joining TBK was that I wanted to become a member and grow together with them. Also, though I noticed after joining TBK, the fact that many women are active also gives me a sense of security.
The Purchasing Division procures raw materials necessary for manufacturing. We are investigating suppliers and procurement methods that can lead to cost reduction while maintaining high quality by visiting not only domestic but also overseas suppliers. There are various ways to procure. For instance, I would like to compare our products to rice balls with salmon for your easy understanding. you may purchase salmon in a already-baked state, or you may purchase raw salmon and bake it in-house. Sometimes I get involved from catching salmon in collaboration with a fisherman. The mission of the Purchasing Division is to establish best procurement method using ideas from a wide range of possibilities. In order to achieve that, persistence and perseverance are required as well as adjustability. That is why when I can procure as I wanted, I get a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
The Purchasing Division is a workplace where many friendly, enthusiastic, and caring members are active. When I didn't know anything when I just joined TBK, my senior asked me, "If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything." Before hearing this word, I thought "I'm from a liberal arts field. I don't have much knowledge of products and materials compared to the person from a science field. That's why I have to work harder than others," But when I heard that word, I was relieved and I can start to work with peace of mind. I am also grateful for the in-house study session held once a week. In such sessions, we introduce the latest status of the projects we are in charge of each other, and we can learn the know-how of veterans. It is also a great opportunity for young people to improve their presentation skills. Such a generous environment has been the driving force behind my growth so far.
